Gunslinger Desperado + Rapid Shower Hybrid PvP Guide

Build Type: PvP

Build Purpose: A flexible hybrid Gunslinger build that can alternate between ranged burst (Rapid Shower) and melee-range AoE (Desperado) depending on the situation.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros:
    • High damage output with both ranged and close-range options
    • Strong lifesteal potential
    • Can counter reflect-type builds
    • Desperado bypasses Pneuma
  • Cons:
    • Countered by Land Protector (Desperado does not work on LP)
    • Requires closing distance for Desperado
    • Gear- and switch-intensive compared to Full Buster

  • STR: 500
  • AGI: 140
  • VIT: 199
  • INT: None
  • DEX: ~460–480 (remaining points)
  • LUK: None

Gears & Cards

Headgears

  • Top: Any Demi 35% reduction helm + SPICA Card (defensive staple)
  • Top (Switch): Stormy Headphones ([SPICA]) – Lv.1 Storm Gust for breaking cloak
  • Mid: Physical damage rare wings – +25% demi-human damage, +30% ACD (with fused kiel card)
  • Low: Any Anti-stone + Anti-sleep aura ([Glorified Orc Hero]); rare version preferred (ie. Digital aura link or other similar auras)
  • Low (Switch): Poring Rings of Balance or similar – +40% Desperado damage (use once you’re in range)

Armor

  • Main: Exile Armor OL ([Demi Freya Card])
  • Switch: Divine Aegis ([Demi Freya Card]) – for higher HP and survivability
  • Shadow Gear: Ragnarok Shirt – gives Gunslinger sprite faster Desperado spam than Rebellion sprite

Weapon

  • Main Hand: +10 Peacemaker ([NOX + Fused Dracula + Schulang + Fused Atroce]) – Ideally unbreakable enchant. – Replace 1x Schulang/Fused Atroce with [Fallen Valkyrie Card] for unbreakable effect. – Alternative: Replace with Broken Thanatos Card for lifesteal + DEF piercing (if using this, swap Faceworm Queen card in boots since it does not stack with Thana).

Shield

  • Shield: +8–10 Demi Freya Shield ([Hades Card])

Garment

  • Main: +10 Protector’s Guard / Daehyon ([Juncea])
  • Attack Option: Lv.10 Brewmaster ([Sakray or Juncea]) – for more damage + lifesteal
  • Defensive Option: +10 Protector’s Guard / Daehyon ([Cautious Howard])
  • Budget: Asprika (non-slotted)

Shoes

  • Shoes: +10 Modified Temporal STR Boots ([Faceworm Queen Card]) – Switch to Furious Seyren if using Thana weapon variant.

Accessories

  • Accessory 1: Warborn Sigil ([Gem of Desperado or Fused Ifrit]) – Battleforged reward (~500 BG games)
  • Accessory 2: Arctic Seal ([Pneuma Gem / Fused Ifrit]) – Battleforged reward (~500 BG games)
  • Notes: – Without 500 BG games, Arctic Seal leaves you vulnerable to Freeze → compensate with Divine Aegis. – Revolver Buffalo + Shotgun Buffalo combo = more lifesteal. – Double Fused Ifrit = stronger Rapid Shower focus.

Skills

  • [Rapid Shower] – Primary ranged DPS skill.
  • [Desperado] – Main melee-range skill, bypasses Pneuma; also effective for portal defense or choke-point control.
  • [Cloak] – so you can move and escape and also get closer to enemies
  • [Storm Gust] – Switch to storm Gust Helm to use SG to break cloak
  • [Magnum Break] – From Schulang Card; use before engagement for +20% damage boost.
  • [Flip Coin + Increased Accuracy] – Extra HIT for better Rapid Shower/Desperado accuracy.
  • [Disarm] – Use with Peacemaker Revolver (Elite). Great against enemies lacking FCP or recently who died so they probably have no FCP.
  • [HSS: Revitalize] – Use for extra healing, can be obtained through HSS skill scroll

Playstyle

  • Leverage hybrid flexibility: stay backline for Rapid Shower, then switch to Desperado if enemies cast Pneuma or push close.
  • Position carefully—Desperado requires committing into melee range. Use Cloak to approach safely. Dont forget to switch to poring ring of balance aura
  • Start with Holy Bullet; if it misses (no Pneuma present), switch to Shadow Bullet. Misses may also indicate high Flee.
  • Use Storm Gust helm to reveal cloaked enemies, then return to your main helm quickly.
  • Defensive Switch: When cornered/trapped, swap to tank gear: Divine Aegis + Demi Freya Card, +10 Protector’s Guard + Cautious Howard, +8 Temporal VIT Boots (Miguel/Infernal Horn), 35% demi-human reduction helm, Anti-Stone/Sleep lower, Arctic Seal (Pneuma Gem).
