Gepard Shield on BraveRO

Gepard Shield is the anti-cheat system used on BraveRO. It protects the client, blocks most public cheat tools, and helps us keep the game fair for everyone.

What Gepard Shield Does

  • Checks the integrity of your game client and important files.
  • Blocks common cheat tools (packet editors, bots, etc.).
  • Adds packet encryption and other protections to make exploits harder.
  • Helps staff identify suspicious behavior and repeated offenders.

By logging in to BraveRO, you agree to play with Gepard Shield enabled and to follow the rules below.

What Is Allowed

  • Simple macros for convenience (for example, keyboard or mouse software that presses one hotkey instead of several), as long as:
    • You are actively at the keyboard.
    • The macro does not play the game by itself while you are AFK.
    • The macro does not bypass skill delay or cooldown.

What Is Not Allowed

  • Bots – any tool or script that controls your character without you (AFK farming, auto-leveling, auto-pathing, etc.).
  • 0 delay / skill spam cheats – anything that removes or bypasses fixed cast, after-cast delay, or animation delay.
  • Client or sprite edits that give advantage, including:
    • Editing protected sprites or effects to change timing or visibility.
    • Swapping important effects to something easier to see or remove.
    • Any modification that makes skills, traps, or players easier to detect than intended.
  • Bypassing Gepard Shield in any way (running the client without it, patching the .exe, using loaders, etc.).

How Enforcement Works

  • If Gepard Shield detects a blocked program or a modified client, it can:
    • Disconnect you from the server.
    • Log your hardware info and violations for staff review.
    • Lead to temporary or permanent bans, depending on the case.
  • Staff can also review reports and logs and take action even if you are not auto-disconnected.

Tips to Avoid Issues

  • Use a clean BraveRO client. Do not mix files from other servers.
  • Do not use “all-in-one” RO tools, public “helper” apps, or anything advertised as “0 delay” or “no animation”.
  • If you use mouse/keyboard software, keep macros simple and under your direct control.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Are macros allowed?”
Yes, as long as you are actively playing, and the macro does not farm, level, or spam skills by itself while you are AFK. Anything that behaves like a bot is not allowed.

“Can I edit my GRFs or sprites?”
Cosmetic edits that do not give an advantage are usually fine (for example, personal palette changes). Editing protected sprites, reducing animations, or changing effects to gain a gameplay advantage is not allowed.

“I got disconnected by Gepard. What do I do?”
First, close any extra tools you are running and restart your PC. If the problem keeps happening and you believe it is a false detection, open a ticket or contact staff with a screenshot of the error and a description of what you were running.

Summary

Play normally, avoid bots and cheat tools, do not touch protected sprites or delays, and keep your macros reasonable. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask the staff before you use it. Gepard Shield is there to keep BraveRO competitive and fair for everyone.
