Caspen Dungeon Guide - Caster Type

Hello Brave Adventurer! Welcome to this General Caspen Dungeon Build - Caster Type guide. Take note that, in order to somehow accommodate for new players who will be doing the the last part of the Elite Hero Quest, which is the 3,000 Caspen Dungeon Monster Kill Quest, the suggested items are made as cheaply as possible, but more than enough to fulfill the task.

This build can be used by any character class, despite the name. It's a 'Caster Type' simply because you're forcing your character to deal deal magic damage using Meteor Storm.

Before you enter, take note that Caspen Dungeon has several restrictions, which includes the following:

• You can use Yggdrasil Berry and Yggdrasil Seed as healing items. However, Mastela Fruit is not allowed to be used inside the dungeon.
• 3rd Job Skills are disabled inside the dungeon.
  • If you have active buffs from 3rd Job Skills, those will be removed when you enter the dungeon.
  • If you're a Ranger, you will be immediately warped outside the dungeon if you're using your Warg/Wug. You need to unsummon it in order to enter the dungeon. You can use your falcon while inside the dungeon, however.

Due to Cucool casting Dispel, using buff items might be a waste, unless your character is a Soul Linker (cannot be dispelled), or a Shadow Chaser with Soul Link buff (cannot be dispelled while Soul Link buff is active).

YGGDRASIL BERRY	This will be your primary healing item while inside Caspen Dungeon. Bring at least 50 when you go in. Some can be bought from the BraveRO Tool Dealer in @warp caspen 157 192 Also drops from Cucool mob inside Caspen Dungeon.
PANACEA	For removing the Poison status that gets inflicted on you. Some can be bought from the BraveRO Tool Dealer in @warp caspen 157 192 Also drops from Stone Soldier mob inside Caspen Dungeon.

While hunting inside Caspen Dungeon, it'll be worth your time to loot the items below. They have their specific purposes.

YGGDRASIL BERRY	To constantly replenish your Yggdrassil Berry while inside Caspen Dungeon. To autoloot this item, use @aloot item 607

GOLD ORE	This item is used for creating your Division/Specialist Glove. So it's a good idea to save these as early as now. To autoloot this item, use @aloot item 7231
AMBLEM OF THE SUN GOD	This item is a requirement for the Rank B Weapon Quest. This item drops from Soul Taker, which is regarded as the 'boss monster' of Caspen Dungeon. This monster is highly dangerous and deals a LOT of damage. As such, most of the time, it's advisable to avoid this monster, unless you badly want to kill it. The Soul Taker can also drop Bloody Branch, Staff of Leader (Goblin Leader Taming Item), Mega Resist Potion, Stat Boost 1, Enriched Elunium, and some equipment. ✧ STAT GUIDE

CASTER BUILD STAT GUIDE

STAT	BASE AMOUNT	PURPOSE
STR	200	For carrying your items. Just enough that you won't get overweight too quickly.
AGI	150	Make sure that you only invest enough points to reach 195 ASPD.
VIT	200~300	For survivability. The longer you're alive, the more damage you can dish out.
INT	450	Regardless of your character, since you're building it as a caster type via Meteor Storm, this would be your primrary damage stat.
DEX	300	If you have 300 DEX stat, your skills that rely on variable cast time will have no cast time (instant cast). Skills that have fixed cast times will still have their own cast times.
LUK	300	For having a bit of flee and perfect dodge. Also slightly boosts your ATK and MATK stat.

✧ BASIC STRATEGY

WHAT TO DO WHILE INSIDE CASPEN DUNGEON - CASTER BUILD

STRATEGY

FOR WIZARD CLASSES You can make use of your 3 area of effect skills, Lord of Vermilion, Storm Gust, and Meteor Storm. When mobbed by several mobs at the same time, make sure to spam Yggdrasil Berry to avoid dying. Use Panacea from time to time in order to remove the Poison status from your character. Avoid the Soul Taker mob as much as possible, unless you badly want to kill it.

FOR NON-WIZARD CLASSES The strategy is basically the same as Wizards, except you're stuck with using only Meteor Storm. If your character has skills that deal high magic damage, such as Soul Linker's Esma, you can use those as well. Just as a reminder, when mobbed by several mobs at the same time, make sure to spam Yggdrasil Berry to avoid dying. Use Panacea from time to time in order to remove the Poison status from your character. Avoid the Soul Taker mob as much as possible, unless you badly want to kill it.

✧ EQUIPMENT

CASTER BUILD EQUIPMENT
These items were specifically chosen to be as cheap and affordable as possible for new players. If you have been doing Daily Quests, Voting, Zeph Missions, etc., it will be a bit easier to get these items. Probably the most expensive one to get is the Dark Lord Mask since it costs 20 BraveRO Tokens. Additionally, most of the items in this build are tradable, so you can also choose to buy it from other players.

LOWER HEADGEAR	Any Slotted Lower Headgear with Movement Speed Effect A good headgear to get for this slot is the Sage Ring. If you have been participating in seasonal events, any lower headgear with movement speed effects can also suffice, although lower headgears with increased magical damage or increased MATK effect is also preferred.	High Wizard Card This card ignores 100% MDEF of Normal Monsters. An account bound version can be bought from the Daily Quest NPC in @warp caspen 184 183
ARMOR	Valkyrie Armor Though very minor, this armor grants +1 to all stats Has a 100% drop rate from Valkyrie Randgris found in @warp odin_tem03 Any Slotted Armor If you find it hard to kill a Valkyrie Randgris, you can just go for any slotted armor. Some cheap slotted armors can be bought from the Armor and Shield Dealer in @warp ayo_in01 23 83	Tao Gunka Card This card greatly increases your Max HP by 100%. An account bound version can be bought from the Daily Quest NPC in @warp caspen 184 183 Nightmare Amon Ra Card Only go for this card if you have the patience of waiting and hunting for it. This card increases magical damage against Shadow and Undead Element, and Demon and Undead Monsters by 50% Has a 3% drop rate from Nightmare Amon Ra MVP. The map where this MVP is located can be accessed via Main NPC >> Warper >> Dungeons >> Pyramids >> Basement 2 Nightmare Mode.
WEAPON	Death Staff For Wizards, Sages, Priests, Soul Linkers Can be exchanged using the Death Weapon Coupon that you get from creating a new character. Can also be bought from the Daily Quest NPC in @warp caspen 184 183 Any Death Weapon, or 4-Slotted Weapon that your character can wear For classes other that cannot use staff weapon type Can be exchanged using the Death Weapon Coupon that you get from creating a new character. SHIELD	Valkyrie Shield Reduces damage from Water, Fire, Undead, and Shadow Element attacks by 20% Has a 100% drop rate from Valkyrie found in @warp odin_tem03. The initial summoned mobs by Valkyrie Randgris will also drop this item. Novice Shield If you're a Novice class character, you can use this shield instead. Reduces damage from all elemental attacks by 20%, except for Neutral element.
