Ranger
A Ranger is the third job class of a Hunter / Sniper. Rangers are given a huge wolf-like mount called a Warg that they can also use to attack their enemies. They also have new and powerful traps at their disposal, from Cluster Bombs, Electric Shockers, to traps that can change an opponent's elemental property when triggered. While a Hunter goes to hunt, a Ranger goes to war.
Stuff You Might Need to Know For this Class:
- Skills and normal attacks do not consume arrows. But you still need the minimum amount to cast them.
- Traps are visible to everyone
- Falcon Flute can be used to summon your Falcon anytime anywhere. You can get this item from the Falcon Flute Trader NPC (@warp hu_in01 386 307).
- Wolf Flute is required to summon your Warg. You can get one from the 3rd Jobs Shop NPC in the Zeny Mall (@go 48). Use your Wug Mastery skill to summon a Warg.
- A total of 300 DEX stat is required for instant cast.
- Some 3rd job skills have their own cooldowns. These cooldowns cannot be reduced with After Cast / After Skill delay effects.

Note: You could still follow the stat and item builds indicated in the guides and generally do well. However, newer items that were added in year 2022 and beyond might have powercrept some of the older items indicated in the guides, and getting those newer items could help your character become even more effective. Furthermore, some changes or updates to certain items might affect the way builds work, such as the update to Death Weapons and Elite Weapons.
Alternatively, you can look for the Gear Advisor in caspen 159 195. This NPC will use the equipment data collected to recommend the most commonly used equipment and cards by Elite Heroes. This should help newbies and veterans alike to have an idea of what items they should focus on and insights on the effects of such items
