== General Rules ==

1. Hacking, duping, scamming, botting, and/or tampering with DreamerRO in any way, shape, or form (including 0 delay) is illegal.

''All Offenses: Permanent Ban''


1a. AFK Farming in general is illegal. This includes afk leveling/farming through Homunculus and Mercenary AI or automated macro script. Players must be present at their computer when any actions are being performed by their characters, particularly with regards to (but in no way limited to) obtaining items, adding buffs to other players, automatically attacking mobs, selling items, or farming specific nodes. We allow the use of macros, as long as the player is actually present, and can pass any third party program test performed by a GM or another player in the game.


2. Abuse of gameplay/NPC bugs is illegal. If you find a bug, it is in yours as well as the servers' best interest to report it. If you fail to do so and we find out that you have been abusing it, we may invoke 2nd or 3rd offense charges depending on the severity of your actions.

2a. Intentional abuse of any and all bugs/glitches to cheat and/or gain an unfair advantage is illegal, without exception, in any and all cases.

2b. The use of looting pets to loot character bound items (e.g. Draconus scale, Fragments) is classified as known-bug abuse, and an attempt to buy/sell/trade said items are illegal.

2c. Using multiple accounts to abuse the amount of zeny you can win through Roulette NPC is illegal.

3. Buying, selling, and/or trading of items/zeny in DreamerRO for real money, be it in the form of electronic-currency, game or phone credits, or for items/zeny in any another server via any means of communication, be it in-game, forums, or social media (ie: Facebook, Twitter, etc.), is illegal.  (Codename: RMT, Real Money Trading)
All Offenses: Permanent Ban (and/or related accounts)
 

3a. Buying, selling, and/or trading of DreamerRO account(s) for any and all forms of currency (inclusive of in-game zeny) is illegal. This includes "ranking services". You are not allowed to give your account publicly through broadcaster etc. If you want to share or give your account for free do it privately.
All Offenses: Permanent Ban of all accounts involved
 

4. The use of any character, party, guild names or titles intended to mislead/impersonate others is illegal. This includes but is not limited to "GM", "Game Master", "Security", "Admin", or "Administrator". In addition, the official use of the DreamerRO name is illegal without explicit permission from the server administrator.
All Offenses: Permanent Ban
 

5. Advertisement of other servers/webpages apart from those endorsed by DreamerRO by any means within DreamerRO and its forums is illegal.
All Offenses: Permanent Ban
 

6. Creation and use of excessive multiple accounts for the purpose of using time-limited NPCs (Wheel of Fortune, Endless Tower, etc.) is illegal. The definition of "excessive" varies from case to case, and is dependent on the GM's discretion when investigating. We may invoke 2nd or 3rd offense charges depending on the severity of your actions.
1st Offense: 2 weeks ban - 2nd Offense: 3 month ban - 3rd Offense: Permanent Ban (All related accounts)
 

7. Farming through the repeated resurrection/killing of yourself and/or other players for the purpose of gaining points DM and/or Hero Points is illegal.
Punishment: 1st Offense: 4 day ban. 2nd Offense: 10 day ban. 3rd Offense: Permanent Ban.
 

7a. Dual clienting in any DM/PVP arenas under any circumstance is illegal.
Punishment: 1st Offense: 24 hour Jail/2 day ban. 2nd Offense: 3 day jail/5 day ban. 3rd Offense: Permanent Ban.


== Player Etiquette ==
'''Note:''' Warnings may be given in the form of: a verbal warning by any player, or a nuke, mute, kick, or short jailtime by an online GM.

8. Show a minimum form of respect for all players. The staff, be it support players, GMs, or the adminstrator, are players too. All individuals have the right to be respected by others until they prove otherwise. We do not demand that you love everyone, but not awarding basic forms of respect, examples of, but not limited to the following such as swearing, insulting, harassment, be it sexual, racial, or religious nature is illegal and will not be tolerated. ***A special note that it is understood that language in PVP areas may be far from pretty due to the adrenaline rush of winning/losing and we advise higher levels of tolerance before entry.
Punished according to the discretion of the GM and in relation to severity of charge (Remove warning)
 

9. Kill stealing summoned MVPs is illegal. Players are warned that MVPs summoned using your skills or Bloody Branches are done so at your own risk. Please be sure to not spawn/summon in a common area if you wish to practice this. Use of remote locations, available branch rooms and limitation of summoning information is highly recommended. MVPs that spawn naturally, as well as summoned MVPs whose summoners have died, are free-for-all.
Punished according to the discretion of the GM and in relation to severity of charge (Remove warning)


10. Spamming of selling, buying or trading chats in the main town disrupts and inhibits towntalking and is illegal. In addition, spamming in general is highly discouraged. Players are encouraged to pause in-between advertising for their wares, even in the designated trading areas.
1st Offense: Warn 2nd Offense: 1 hour mute / 2 hour jailtime Additional Offenses: +24 hour jailtime.
 

11. Vending anywhere outside of the designated vending area map is illegal.
1st Offense: 12 hour jailtime 2nd Offense: 24 hour jailtime Additional Offenses: +24 hour jailtime
 

11a. Vending for the sake of trolling the prices through the new vending method is illegal. i.e Selling a 100K worth item for 1x 100M Zeny bag to ruin the @whosell results.
All Offense: +12 hour jailtime
 

12. Disruptive skill spamming, the use of skills repetitively to lag other players or the server, is illegal in areas of high player density. Testing something in a town is fine, but AoE skill spamming, or lag causing skill use over a prolonged time can invoke an offense.
1st Offense: Warn. 2nd Offense: 2 hour jailtime. 3rd Offense: 24 hour jailtime.
 

12a. PvPing in the main town (Caspen) is illegal. Should you feel the need to do so, kindly head to another map.
All offenses: 30 minute jail if online. If you hop, you get banned for two days.
 

12b. The use of the skill Shadow Form to slaughter players who are not engaged in PvP or not present in a PvP map is considered grief and is illegal.
1st Offense: Warn. 2nd Offense: 2 hour jailtime. 3rd Offense: 24 hour jailtime.
 

12c. Blocking the entrance to time-limited events such as Bomb Poring/ Safety Wall/etc. is illegal.
All Offense: 3 hour jailtime


12d. Do not grief other players. This applies to PvM, PvP and social interactions.
All Offense: 3 hour jailtime


13. Repetitive begging of any kind, including but not limited to zeny, buffs, items, being a GM, asking to be unbanned if you were banned, or asking for real information through any means of communication will not be tolerated.
1st Offense: Warn. 2nd Offense: Mute for 5 minutes. 3rd Offense: Mute for 15 minutes or Jail for one hour, depending on GM's discretion.
 

14. The use of dead branches or bloody branches in any area of high player density that results in disruption of order or annoyance is illegal. That is what the branch room is for.
1st Offense: 2 day ban or 24 hour jailtime. 2nd+ Offense: 4 day ban.
 

15. Abuse of the broadcast NPC is strictly forbidden. Abuse here is defined as "using it for anything other than its intended function (buying/selling/trading/rgm/paging player or gm)". All broadcast functions are to be used as exactly. Any attempt to use the broadcaster in a way that is technically within the bounds of the broadcaster's rules but violates the spirit of it will be considered as abuse.
All offenses: 90 minute jail if online. If you hop, you get banned for four days. ***In addition, if the GM is unable to jail your character through limitations such as symbol-ed names, the temporary ban will be imposed.***
 

19. You may only donate to your main account. Donating to alternate accounts other than your main is a serious offense which will result in a permanent ban of all accounts & your donation being refunded. Contact the administrator via support ticket if you need to donate to a new account.
 

20. Guild emblems must be visible and distinct when participating in War of Emperium. This means that your emblem cannot be "nothing" or an image with only two small letters on it; it has to be something that's big enough to be seen by other guilds. This also means you cannot copy opposing guild emblems in an attempt to fool them.
Punishment: Punishment varies depending on the infracted guild's actions during WoE. If a guild has been found to be violating this rule, punishments can include (but are not limited to):

Loss of all guild castles
Temporary or Permanent ban of guild leader
Forced disbandment of guild
Ban of all guild members

20b. Dual clienting is not allowed inside castle maps.
Punishment: 3 days ban
 

21. Intentional use of a homunculus AI to stack on the user's cell to prevent other players from targeting you (ie: same-cell homunculus) is illegal. **During PvP Events it is expected that an Homunculus will be at least 2 cells away from the user cell**
Punishment: 1st Offense: 3 day ban. 2nd Offense: 1 week ban. 3rd Offense: Permanent Ban.


== Battleground Rules ==
22. Dual clienting is illegal and general event rules will apply.
 

23. You are supposed to be helping your team win either with kills or completing objectives. Not doing anything to help the team and simply claiming badges for nothing is illegal.
1st Offense: Warning 2+ Offenses: +1 day jail or 2 day ban per additional infraction


23b. Do not grief in Battlegrounds, such as aiding the enemy team though intentional feeding or simply losing matches on purpose.
Punishment: Punished according to the discretion of the GM and in relation to severity of charge.


24. AFKing and/or repetitive spammage of the same skills/sitting, using auto follow and standing over a prolonged period of time in the same area within the Battlegrounds map is illegal. You are supposed to participate in the game not simply cloak and hide and wait until someone kill you or the game ends.
1st Offense: Warning 2+ Offenses: +1 day jail or 2 day ban per additional infraction


24B. Do not use safe zones when carrying flags, crystals, or stones to protect yourself from getting killed.
1st Offense: 2 hour jailtime upto 1 day ban.


25. The use of looting pets in Triple Inferno is illegal.
1st Offense: 2 hour jailtime 2+ Offenses: +4 hour jail per additional infraction



== Event Rules ==
26. Dual clienting in any and all events is illegal.
1st Offense: 2 day ban 2+ Offenses: +2 day ban per additional infraction up to a maximum of 7 days for all accounts involved.


26B. Dual clienting is allowed in Seasonal Event provided that the other character is not being use to farm simultaneously with your other character.
Punishment: 3 days ban


27. Partying within stolen key is illegal. There will be a verbal warning to break the party the first time a player is caught. If ignored, the characters in the party will be jailed for three hours.


28. Abusing the drop of the key to let other players win, defined as intentionally dropping it for other players or hiding it in a pet, is forbidden and grounds for a warning plus a jailtime or ban depending on the discretion of the GM.
 

29. Using multiple accounts to start Stolen Key is illegal and will be considered as using multiple accounts for an event.


30. Entering the 500 PvP Event as a party is illegal, creating a party inside is also illegal. The event is meant to be a free-for-all event and the aspect of free-for-all at the beginning of the event must be protected. Parties will only be allowed for party versus party duels if those surviving agree to it, but the winner MUST be decided by bloodshed. No disconnection, intentional or unintentional, or free kills is allowed to decide the winner.
All Offense: 1 day temporary ban.


31. Creation and use of multiple accounts to claim the salary during the Division events is illegal. We may invoke 2nd or 3rd offense charges depending on the severity of your actions..
1st Offense: 1 week ban - 2nd Offense: 3 weeks ban - 3rd Offense: Permanent Ban (All related accounts)
 

32. Purposefully killing your own division members during division events is illegal. It is understandable that one party may not hold all the division members at once however this does not give you free reign to kill your own division members.
Punishment: 1st Offense: 2 day ban. 2nd Offense: 4 day ban. 3rd Offense: Permanent Ban.
 

33. Entering the division event without a party is illegal. The division events are meant to be a team event and the aspect of the freelancer could be considered as gaining kills with your own division members. *Note: You must be inside a party depicting your Division, if you're an Alpha inside a Beta party you're breaking this rule. If the main party is full, you're expected to create your own party based on the same rules**
1st Offense: 24 hour Jail/2 day ban. 2nd Offense: 3 day jail/5 day Ban 3rd Offense: 2 week Ban.
 

34. You're expected to use @tag as soon as you enter the Division Field, not doing so will invoke the following offenses as you're not part of any team and will be treated as a freelancer.
1st Offense: Warning (any player) 2nd Offense: 2 hour jailtime 3rd Offense: 1 day Ban.


== Recommendations by the staff ==
1. Do NOT give out your ID or password to anyone, this includes GMs. A GM will not ask for your ID or password, so use caution with this. If you share your account information, and someone takes items off of your account, do NOT ask a GM to replace your items.
 

2. The GM team takes no responsibility in the event an account has been hacked and the account owner has been found to share their account info. Furthermore, they will be unable to take any further action in regards to cases once this fact is brought to light. SHARE YOUR ACCOUNT INFO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
 

3, If you loan out items or equips, you do so at your own risk. If you loan out items to someone and they keep the items, do NOT ask a GM to get them back for you.
 

4. If you engage in trades that exceed the 10 item per trade limitation (e.g. Hero Quest items, Large quantities of equipment such as Valkyrie shields), you do so at your own risk. In the event you trade the items to someone else and do not receive your suggested payment for it WITHIN THE SAME TRADE, Rule 17 on the loan of items or equipments will apply. **If you wish to have a "safe trade" use @request to use one of the Staff Members as an intermediary for the trade, remember to take screenshots of the deal**

The GM Team reserves the right to exact punishment if they feel certain kinds of behavior is abusive under the scope of the rules. The server owner also reserves the right to modify the rules without prior notice.

Players are advised to keep themselves informed of these rules as you play the game, and ignorance of the rules will not be entertained as an acceptable excuse for breaking them. Should you keep yourself aware, we believe that your time here at our server will remain enjoyable and we hope to see you in game!
