There are many status debuffs (or status ailments) available in Dreamer Ragnarok Online that work against you in many ways. Both player characters and monsters are capable of inflicting them.

==Abyss Curse==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

Remove speed boosting skill and item
 • Movement Speed -10~-50%
 • Decrease AGI and DEX, Flee
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Warlock skill: Marsh Of Abyss
==Ash==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • On plant-type monsters, reduces DEF by 50%.
 • On water-type monsters, reduces ATK and Flee by 50%.
 • On all monsters and players, reduces HIT by 50%.
 • All monsters and players will have their skills fail to activate at a 50% chance.
 • Fire-element attacks will deal 150% damage on targets with the Ash status effect.
 • Although this previously hit players and the owner in PVM, this no longer happens. It only effects enemies now.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Dieter (Homunculus) skill: Volcanic Ash
==Bleeding==
This status ailment causes the following effect:

 • Causes "rapid" loss of HP over time. Contrary to the effect of Poison, this CAN kill the victim - however the damage is slow enough that it rarely will. The red icon disappears but the effect stays even after relogging or map/zone changes.
 • Natural HP/SP Regen disabled.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Swordman class skills: Traumatic Blow, Vital Strike, Pinpoint Attack
 • Assassin Cross skill: Meteor Assault
 • Mage class skills: Tetra Vortex, Earth Grave
 • Merchant class skills: Acid Terror, Hell Plant
 • Gunslinger skill: Wounding Shot
 • Sightless Mind (when using a garment compounded with Kraken Card)
 • Eira (Homunculus) skill: Xeno Slasher
 • Bakonawa Card
 • Hell Poodle Card
 • Ragged Zombie Card
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Cure Free can undo the effect.
 • Dying cancels this ailment.
 • AGI reduces the chance of occurring by 1% per point and may reduce lasting time.
 • Gospel instantly removes all buffs and status effects from the Paladin who uses it, including Bleeding.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Bleeding status.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Bleeding status.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.
 • Grooming removes this ailment to the user and Purring to the whole party.
 • Mercenary's skill Compress can undo the effect.
 • If the object inflicting the status effect is more than 10 levels above the target,the skill will ignore the target's status point based resistance.
Card effects:

 • Ungoliant Card grants immunity.
 • Wootan Fighter Card increases resistance by 20%.
 • Killer Mantis Card gives a 6% chance to inflict bleeding when receiving physical damage.
Equipments:

 • Hatii Claw Adds a 2% chance of inflicting [Bleeding] on the target when doing a melee attack.
==Blind==
Also known as Darkness.
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Reduce your HIT and FLEE rate by 25%.
 • Also graphically reduces range visibility.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Crusader class skills: Grand Cross, Holy Cross, Gospel, Genesis Ray
 • Thief class skills: Stone Fling, Sand Attack, Meteor Assault, Sightless Mind, Body Painting
 • Mage class skills: Lord of Vermilion, Blinding Mist
 • Hunter skill: Flasher
 • Priest class skills: Status Recovery, Adoramus
 • Sera (Homunculus) skill: Poison Mist
 • Flame Skull Card
 • Mini Octopus Card
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Green Potion, Panacea, Royal Jelly and Cure can undo the effect.
 • Gospel instantly removes all buffs and status effects from the Paladin who use it, including Blind.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Blind status.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Blind status.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.

==Confusion==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Causes the character to move into unintended directions when trying to navigate.
 • Displays the emote /? once.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Shadow Chaser skill: Chaos Panic
 • Bard skill: Pang Voice
 • Maestro/Wanderer skill: Metallic Sound
 • Illusion Spectral Spear [1]: Adds a 10% chance of inflicting Chaos on the user when performing a short-ranged attack.
 • Leak Card
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Acolyte's skill - Cure, Green Potion, Panacea, Royal Jelly can undo the effect.
 • Gospel instantly removes all buffs and status effects from the Paladin who uses it, including Chaos.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Chaos status.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Chaos status.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.

 • If the object inflicting the status effect is more than 10 levels above the target, the skill will ignore the target's status point based resistance.

==Charm==
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Unable to attack or target the caster
 • Use on heart emotion /lv
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Dancer skill: Charming Wink
 • Maestro/Wanderer skill: Siren's Voice
==Coma==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Reduces afflicted target's HP to 1.
 • Reduces afflicted target's SP to 0.
 • When used against monsters, amount of EXP that equals the damage you dealt during this period is not given when monster dies.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Sage skill: Abracadabra
 • Minstrel/Gypsy skill: Tarot Card of Fate
 • Gunslinger skill: Bull's Eye
 • Kagerou/Oboro skill: Illusion-Death
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Heal, Healing Items
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Coma. (Editor's Note: Untested. It's hard to classify Coma as a status effect, and it is unknown as to whether or not it is covered by Gospel's immunity effect.)
Card effects:

 • Golden Thiefbug Card grants 60% resistance.
Equipment:

 • Death Note adds a 0.1% chance of inflicting Coma on Demi-Human race targets when performing physical attacks.
 • Donation Lower Item: Night Scarf (or same item effect) Low chance of inflicting Sleep, Stone Curse, or Coma when performing physical attacks

==Critical Wounds==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Lowers the effectiveness of healing skills on you, including Heal, Sanctuary, Aid Potion and recovery items. This reduction is 20% times the level of Critical Wounds that inflicted it.
 • Lasts 30 seconds.
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • If a Crusader uses Sacrifice on the inflicted person, the Crusader can take the damage and be healed, regardless of the critical wounds on the target.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Critical Wounds status.
Card effects:

 • Celine Kimi Card ? chance to inflict level 3 critical wounds each magical attack hits, every refine level increases the trigger rate
Notes:

 • You can dodge critical wounds inducing physical attacks if you have high FLEE, are in Safety Wall (at close range), or in Pneuma (at long range).
 • Relogging cancels the status.
==Curse==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Reduce your ATK by 25%.
 • LUK becomes 0.
 • Drastically Reduces your Movement Speed.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Cursed status.

 • Initially Max HP reduced by 10% (if player)
 • Initially Max HP reduced by 15% (if monster)
 • HP reduced by Max HP's 4% each 1 second
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Assassin Cross skill: Enchant Deadly Poison

==Deep Sleep==
This status ailment causes the following effect:

 • 2% of maximum HP/SP is recovered each second
 • Damage from the next attack is amplified by 1.5x

 • Maestro/Wanderer skill: Deep Sleep Lullaby
 • Kagerou/Oboro skill: Cast Ninja Spell

This status ailment causes the following effect:

 • The player can not reequip any items into a given equipment slot, depending on which one was targeted.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Rogue class skills: Strip Armor, Strip Helm, Strip Shield, Strip Weapon, Full Strip, Strip Accessory
 • Warlock skill: Earth Strain
 • Gunslinger skill: Disarm
To prevent from infliction:

 • Protection skills of Alchemists grant immunity. Chemical Protection Helm, Chemical Protection Armor, Chemical Protection Weapon, Chemical Protection Shield, and Full Chemical Protection

 • Hit and Flee decrease 20%.

 • Sura skill: Lion's Howl
 • Eleanor (Homunculus) skill: Midnight Frenzy

==Freezing/Frozen==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • All DEF contributed by items reduced by 50%.
 • Monsters Hard-DEF and Soft-DEF is reduced by 50% (round up).
 • Any FLEE will be negated.
 • Increases your Hard-MDEF by 25%.
 • Ignores Steal, Lex Aeterna, Wizard's skill - Storm Gust, Ninja's skill - Snow Flake Draft.
 • Impossible to move, attack, pick up items, skill usage, sitting, force disconnection, and item usage.
 • Armor attribute becomes "Water 1". (175% damage from Wind-based attacks, 25% damage from Water, 90% damage from Fire).
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Mage skill: Frost Diver
 • Wizard class skills: Frost Nova, Storm Gust, Jack Frost
 • Hunter skill: Freezing Trap
 • Bard skill: Unbarring Octave
 • Minstrel/Gypsy skill: Tarot Card of Fate
 • Kagerou/Oboro skill: Cast Ninja Spell
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Getting hit automatically cancels the effect.
 • Sura's skill Gentle Touch-Cure can recover from the effect.
 • Priest's skill Status Recovery can undo the effect.
 • Swordman's skill Provoke cancels effect.
 • Scholar's skill Mind Breaker cancels the effect.
 • Sorcerer's skill Warmer cancels effect and grants immunity for the duration of the skill.
 • Hard MDEF reduces the chance of being affected by 1% per point.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Frozen. However, it can't remove the frozen status from the Paladin itself since it can't cast any skill as long as he/she is frozen.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Frozen status.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.
 • Mercenary's skill Tender can undo the effect.
 • Lauda Agnus removes this ailment.
 • Grooming removes this ailment to the user and Purring to the whole party.

 • Wrench adds a 1% chance of inflicting Frozen on the target when performing a physical attack.
 • Unfrozen Shadow Set grants immunity when the sum of upgrade levels for the items in the set is +30 or higher, else each upgrade level of the individual gear increases resistance by 1%.
 • Antonio's Coat & Antonio Card Set grants immunity if upgrade level is +7 or higher.
 • Old Pink Poo Hat & Steel Chonchon Card Set grants immunity.
 • Ritual Robe & Bathory Card Set grants immunity.
 • Donation Lower Item: Dark Chakra (or same item effect) grants immunity to silence and freeze +10% HP.

==Grampus Morph==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Player character's head change orc

 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Grampus Morph status.
==Hallucination==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • The screen goes wavy and you see crazy numbers for all damage that is processed around you, but they are all fake. Even other players see those numbers at you. The wavy screen effect will cause severe local-machine lag on many newer computers (less than 1 fps), making it difficult to move or use skills or items.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Geneticist skill: Illusion Doping
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Panacea, Royal Jelly.
 • Typing "/effect" will disable the "wavy" rendering effect, but damage will still be displayed as random numbers.
 • Gospel instantly removes all buffs and status effects from the Paladin who uses it, including Hallucination.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Hallucination status.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Hallucination status.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.
 • Mercenary's skill Mental Cure can undo the effect.
==Howling==
This status ailment causes the following effect:

 • Causes loss a percent of the targets SP.
 • Reduce an amount of the targets INT.
 • The target increase her/his cast (fixed) in a an amount.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Geneticist skill: Mandragora Howling
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Sacrament reduce the increase of cast to half.
 • Lauda Ramus removes this ailment.
 • Grooming removes this ailment to the user and Purring to the whole party.
 • Target VIT and LUK (0,2% to both).
 • Inspiration and Noseige Rune Stone add immunity for a while.
Notes:

 • Minimum success chance is 10%
 • Success chance is ( 25 + 10 * Skill Level )% - {( Target’s VIT + LUK ) / 5 }%
 • Duration of skill increase with the Mandragora Howling skill level.

This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • The target can't attack, move, use skills.
 • Ignore damage except Ghost property magics or from attacks that inflict fixed damage.

==New Poison==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Varies by poison type
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Guillotine Cross skill: Poisonous Weapon, Venom Pressure, Poisonous Smoke

 • Int reduces the duration. (Oblivion Curse)
 • Antidote removes this ailment.
 • Clearance removes this ailment.
 • Gentle Touch-Cure removes this ailment. (Paralysis, Pyrexia, Venom Bleed, Magic Mushroom)
==Overheat==
This status ailment causes the following effect:

 • Causes loss of HP over time. (Not Fatal)
 • The Overheat Limit refers to the amount of damage a Madogear user can receive before this status effect is inflicted.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Mechanic : receiving excessive damage while using Madogear.
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Cooldown removes this ailment.
 • Remodel Mainframe can increase the Overheat Limit, and thus resistance to this ailment.
==Paralyze==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Can't move.
 • decrease Def and Mdef
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Sera (Homunculus) skill: Needle of Paralysis
==Overwave==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Greatly decrease Movement Speed
 • Speed change skill effects not reflected.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Royal Guard skill: Banding
==Poison==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Status-oriented DEF is reduced by 25%.
 • If HP is over 25%, you will lose 1.5% + 2 HP of your max HP every second.
 • SP Regeneration is disabled.
This status ailment is caused from the following skills:

 • Thief class skills: Envenom, Enchant Poison, Venom Dust, Venom Splasher, Venom Knife
 • Minstrel/Gypsy skill: Tarot Card of Fate
 • Sorcerer skill: Killing Cloud
 • Kagerou/Oboro skill: Cast Ninja Spell
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Green Herb, Green Potion, Panacea, Royal Jelly, Thief's skill - Detoxify can undo the effect.
 • Grooming removes this ailment to the user and Purring to the whole party.
 • Priest's Slow Poison prevents damage taken from Poison but does not cure the reduced DEF effect. It is a very rarely used counter.
 • Gospel initially removes all buffs and status effects from the Paladin who uses it, including poison.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including poison status.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including poison status.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.
 • Mercenary's skill Recuperate can undo the effect.
Equipments:

 • Poison Forged Spear adds a 10% chance of inflicting Poison on the target when performing a physical attack and adds a 3% chance of inflicting Poison on the user when receiving a physical attack.
 • Wrench adds a 1% chance of inflicting Poison on the target when performing a physical attack
 • Donation Lower Item: Immune Diamond Dust (or same item effect) grants immunity to deadly poison and curse

 • Donation Lower Item: Lovely Ribbon (or same item effect) grants immunity to sleep and poison.
Card effects:

 • Argiope Card grants Poison element, and immunity to Poison attacks, but not the poison status itself.
 • Ghoul Card increases resistance to poison by 20%.
 • Poporing Card allows use of Detoxify (which cancels poison).
 • Venomous Card has a 30% chance of inflicting poison to self and a 30% chance of inflicting poison on the attacker when receiving physical damage.

 • Grooming removes this ailment to the user and Purring to the whole party.
 • One of Gospel's random effects removes all abnormal status effects from party members, including Silence status. However it can't remove the silence status from the paladin itself since it can't cast any skill as long as he/she is silenced.
 • One of Gospel's random effects grants 60 seconds of immunity to all status effects to party members, including Silence status.

 • Mercenary's skill Recuperate can undo the effect.
 • Lauda Ramus removes this ailment.

 • Gangster Mask increases resistance by 15%.
 • Valkyrian Armor increases resistance by 50%. if the user is Acolyte, Archer or Mage Class.
 • Donation Lower Item: Dark Chakra (or same item effect) grants immunity to silence and freeze +10% HP.
 • Donation Lower Item: Music Ring (or same item effect) grants immunity to silence and freeze +60% Walking Speed.
Card effects:

 • Marduk Card grants immunity.
 • Stainer Card increases resistance by 20%.
 • Gemini-S58 Card Add 30% resistance if the user has 90 or more base AGI points.
==Sleep==
This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • Impossible to move, attack, pick up items, skill usage, sitting, force disconnection, and item usage.
 • If enemy attacks you, you will always get hit.
 • If enemy attacks you, they will have 2x CRIT chance with their attack.
This status ailment is caused by:

 • Hunter skill: Sandman
 • Bard/Dancer skill: Lullaby
 • Kagerou/Oboro skill: Cast Ninja Spell
 • Bangungot Card
 • Nightmare Mummy Card
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Getting hit automatically cancels the effect.

This status ailment causes the following effects:

 • All DEF contributed by items is reduced by 50%.
 • Monsters Hard-DEF and Soft-DEF is reduced by 50% (round up).
 • If HP is over 25%, you will lose 1% of your HP every 5 seconds.
 • Increases your MDEF by 25%.
 • Changes your elemental status as "Earth LV 1" (150% damage from Fire based attacks, 125% damage from Poison, 25% damage from Earth, 90% damage from Wind)
 • Ignores Steal and Lex Aeterna.
 • Impossible to move, attack, pick up items, skill usage, sitting, force disconnection, and item usage.

Note: The Stone status effect is a two-stage effect. When a character is first inflicted with the Stone status, they are still able to move, and being attacked does not cancel the effect - note that during this time they can be effected by Lex Aeterna, and cannot attack or use skills but still able to use items. Once the Stone "hardens," the character is immobilized, and being attacked will break the Stone curse.

==Undead==
This status ailment causes the following effect:

 • The player become Undead property.
 • Support buffs such as Blessing and Increase AGI are removed.
 • Support buffs such as Blessing and Increase AGI deal damage to the player and the buffs are not applied, even in PVM. They will do 1 damage, but cannot be copied by the Rogue class using Intimidate
 • Heal and Sanctuary have no effect on the player in PvM
 • Aspersio will deal damage to the player and can be copied by Rogue's Intimidate (verify?)
 • The ailment causes the player's sprite to glow green.
To prevent from infliction:

 • Bathory Card causes the skill inflicting this status to miss. (Do not work on Renewal)
 • Evil Druid Card causes the skill inflicting this status to miss.
To assist in recovering from this ailment:

 • Relogging cancels the status.
 • Gospel instantly removes all buffs and status effects from the Paladin who uses it, including Undead.
 • Dispell removes this ailment.
Equipments:

 • Ambrose's Undead Armor an armor enchanted with undead element property
