Moonlight Sonata.'s EZBG Guide

Overview

This guide is for the players that doesn't know what to do in every Battlegrounds game. Remember that killing the enemy is not the only way to win here. Maximize your battlegrounds win rate for faster completion of Thirst for Victory achievement (lvl 4 requires 500 BG wins) and valor badges. Whenever there are big events, event tokens that can be exchanged for valuable items may also be given here with the amount depending wether your team wins or loses.

Arch Bishops are hard to kill and mainly on a support role where you just heal teammates and annoy enemies by breaking or striping their items which ironically makes them the devil. Do not expect that you'll be the killer on your team as that needs to tweak your build to Full Holy Light build or normal attack build which may lessen your supporting prowess.

See Artemia's AB PvP Guide for equipment and stats guide. Any of them (except Reflect Build as it is a situational build) will work on battlegrounds just fine.

See Battleground Arenas and Objectives for more info.

What to do in every Battlegrounds game

Capture the Flag

  • Offensive Support: You may go try to steal the flag of the enemy by supporting your tank. Using Gem of Sight, clear out the way by spamming Sight and Sight Trasher. Use Decrease Agi to slow down enemies that is chasing the tank and the most important of all, spam Heal on the tank as taking the flag will not let the tank use any skill or items while it takes a portion of his exp.
  • Defensive Support: Stay on your flag and slow down the enemies trying to get it. You may use Evil Glove and cast Spider Web on the enemy holding the flag to hold him in his position. You may also use Gem of Divest or Mastersmith Card to break/strip his weapon and armor.

Team Death Match

  • As simple as it can be. Go along with your team and dominate fights by spamming heal and buffs on your team. If you have Divest and Mastersmith, you may disrupt the enemies by breaking/striping weapon and armor. When they're striped, dont even bother attacking anymore and move onto the next one.

Stone Control

  • As soon as the game starts, head over to the middle stone and take it back to the base. Taking the middle first will leave you with stones that are much closer to your base allowing you to get that one much faster than the enemies.

Offensive Support: Same as the Capture the Flag, but here you capture the Enemy's stones. If both team have 3 stones each and your team struggles to take one to the base, your tank may just steal the stone and stay there while you heal him. Make him live as long as possible as flags on players does not give more points, making it 2:3 stones in your favor.

Defensive Support: Same as the Capture the Flag.

Eye of Storm

  • Offensive Support: You may be the tank in the middle of Neutral or their nearby by spamming Heal on yourself. You may also just be the support your team needs.
  • Defensive Support: Stay on your team's nearby flag (on the left side of the map where you spawn) and try defending it from enemies.

Bossnia

  • Offensive Support: Contest the control of neutral flag and do what you do in Eye of Storm
  • Defensive Support: Stay on your team's boss and try defending it from the enemy. Use Sanctuary to heal the boss, and Pneuma for long range i.e Double Strafe and Spiral Pierce or Safety Wall for melee i.e Sonic Blow to make enemies miss then attack them to strip/break equips/coma them. Do take note that you cannot put a Pneuma on the ground that has a Safety Wall and vice versa. Be wise on what you will be putting down.

Domination

  • Very same with Eye of Storm. Same strat with it.

Triple Inferno

  • This is the most interesting one. If you have the proper build, no one will even bother touching you. Screw supporting your team, support yourself and gather all the skulls dropped. You will be like this cutesy Snow White picking up skulls in the middle of battle between 3 teams.

Conquest

  • Defender Support: Stay on Emperium and spam Safety Wall and Sanctuary on it. Classic AB strat on war of emperium.
  • Attacker Support: Support teammates by Healing and slowing down enemies with Decrease Agi. Also use Lex Aeterna on targeted enemies when you can.

Rush

  • Like the Triple Inferno, no one will even bother chasing you here but there's a little bit of strat to do here. If the enemy team has a breaker, better let them break the emperium first so they go on defense instead. If your team got tons of delaying jobs i.e Warlocks, better go break it first as AB is better in defending emperium anyways.
  • As the first emperium breaks, it will pretty much be a Conquest game and do the Conquest strat.
