Royal Guard Support/Tank GUIDE

Build Type: PvP

Build Purpose:Support/Tank build that can also do semi disable

Pros & Cons

  • Pros:
    • High Survivability
    • High Reflect
    • Supports and can burn enemy SP
  • Cons:
    • This is only support so there is not much damage/li>
    • Vulnerable to dispell
    • Gear- and switch-intensive playstyle

Stats

  • STR: 200
  • AGI: 140
  • VIT: 500
  • INT: 200 (enough to boost Sight Trasher damage for breaking traps)
  • DEX: 340
  • LUK: Remaining points

Gears & Cards

Headgears

  • Top: +9/+10 35% Demi-Reduction Helm (gemini S58 card
  • Top (Switch): Stormy Headphones ([SPICA]) – Lv.1 Storm Gust for breaking cloak.
  • Mid: Variant wings with 30% ACD + 15% hp buff with addax card
  • Mid(Switch): Variant wings with 30% ACD + anti strip enchant + addax: Use when there is enemy stalker remember to wear garment or shield with antistrip because the enchant doesnt cover strip shield
  • Mid(Switch): Variant wings with 30% ACD + 20% acd enchant+ fsued Kiel: i usually use this if i need ACD to spam a skill, usually that skill would be sight + sightrasher soo that i can clear traps, you may use 45% ACD redux wings with Fused kiel for a cheaper alternative
  • Mid(Switch): Variant wings with 30% ACD + anti strip enchant + addax: Use when there is enemy stalker remember to wear garment or shield with antistrip because the enchant doesnt cover strip shield
  • Low: Light Chakra (glorified orc hero card)
  • Low: ignus Faatus or any lower with wof effect (glorified orc hero card): Use this item when you're being surrounded by ranged attackers, TIP: you may use lvl 1 Grandcross, the self hit mechanic will make the wof come out as well, WARNING: GC will do self damage so be careful
  • Low: Saints Ring (or any lower HG that lowers soft def by 30% (glorified orc hero card): Use this when someone is attacking you with thana and your reflect + lifesteal cant keep up with their own damage + lifesteal
  • NOTE If you plan to use saints ring and you're still getting statused, change your Headgear card combo to 2x Gemini card 1 Glorified orc hero card, and have arctic seal in your accessory
  • BERZERK lord knight card usually used in WOE because you can coordinate dispell and berzerk to heal your hp, i dont recommend relying on this skill in BG unless you really know the proff in your team to dispel you, you can also use this to boost your HP and increase your sacrifice damage


    • Armor

    • Main: +10 Divine Aegis ([Demi Freya Card]) – balanced defense and freeze protection with Arctic Seal.
    • Switch: Exile OL Armor ([Demi Freya Card]) – to counter reflect people will use lifesteal, and to counter people who counter your reflect by using lifesteal, you just lifesteal them harder LOL/li>
    • Option: +10 any unbreakable Armour (i use freya robe) ([fused detale or professor card]) – this is to counter
    • Option: +10 Lord’s Tunic OL ([Fused Hatii]) – strong against magic users.
    • Note: TIP: If you dont plan to couple light chakra with Divine Aegis, ensure you have Arctic Seal + 500 BG games for anti-freeze effect.

    Weapons

    • Main: +10 exodia([nox+ fused dracula+ fallen valkyrie+ easter papila]) – Ideally with coma enchant, anti strip shield enchant would also be nice
    • Alternate: +10 exodia([3 EAS + fallen valk: great for coma procing])
    • Alternate: Combat Knife (switch):.Use this if you need to tank more
    • Alternate: Grimtooth (dagger): NOTE: not to be confused with death grimtooth you can buy this dagger from @go 48, REMEMBER this does not stack with saints ring (or other similar auras) good for when you need to lower soft def against thana users
    • Alternate:Deathspade 4 x Enhanced Archer Skeleton Card (switch):.if someone is also going tank build and refuses to die, you can spam, pressure with this item and it can proc comaa as well

    Shields

    • Main: +8–10 Demi Freya Shield ([Hades Card])
    • Anti-Magic Options: +8–10 Libra-OL ([Hades]) or +8–10 Easter Shield ([Hades])

    Garments

    • Main: +10 Giant Rabbit Garment([Cautious Card]): Great in BG for assumptio, magic reflect and ranged reflect
    • Defense: +10 Protector’s Guard / Daehyon ([Cautious Howard]): for anti strip shield or more elemental redux
    • Utility: +10 Protector’s Guard / Daehyon ([Gertie]) – enables Close Confine
    • Budget: Asprika (non-slotted)

    Shoes

    • Main: +10 Modified Temporal vit Boots ([infernal Horn]): i prefer this over migeul card for the extra fire resist
    • Other Options: Sleipnir OL or Freya sandals or Corrupted ERIS boots. theyre unbreakable so that tarot cant break your boots + (infernal horn card)
    • Enchantments: muscle foo or Lucky Day or any HP enchant.

    Accessories

    • Main: AOT - OL with magic essence 2 + 30k HP enchant (pneuma GEM)
    • Secondary: Seal Of shelter ([Errende Ebcee Card]) – ideally lvl 500 BG games for more resist.
    • Alternatives: – Revolver + Shotgun Buffalo combo for lifesteal. – Evil Glove (Spider Web skill + good for trap removal). + sight GEM – Elite Gloves + sight gem . – Sight Gem accessory (needed for Sight Trasher and trap breaking).

    Skills

    • [Pressure] – Main disable skill, use this on energy coat classes like Warlock or Proffessor , removing SP will remove energy coat, great for preventing enemies from spamming, and also stops priests from healing
    • [Devotion] – Main support skill so that you can help teammates survive.
    • [Sacrifice] – Can be used for killing players this build gives me around 10m hp and so sacrifice hurts for players who dont have ghost element or high neutral resist
    • [NOTE] DONT use this on enemies with high perfect dodge or else you will miss sacrifice and only hurt yourself, same goes if theyre on safety wall, you can tell if sacrifice will work on them because you are able to lifesteal and not receive a lot of recoil damage from the sacrifice but if you dont seem lifesteal much damage theyre probably on ghost element, i usually wait for Dispell to proc from pressure or someone dispells the enemy and i test out sacriifice on them, Dont forget to use magnum break before using sacrifice for added damage, you can use auto guard to cancel the animation of sacrifice soo that you can spam use the skill faster.
    • [Gospel] – Usually Used for Removing strip debuff on you
    • [Autoguard] – Buff: for more defense.
    • [Reflect Shield] – Buff: good for reflecting melee attacks.
    • [Defender] – Buff: good for reducing ranged damage, do not use this all the time as it lowers your movement speed and the movement speed of your teammate who you used devotion on, if in the fight your not moving or running away and are on a stand still you may use this skill, but careful when you guys need to chase and learn to turn it off during those situations.
    • [Magnum Break] – +20% damage buff; also clears traps.
    • [Storm Gust] – From Stormy Headphones; reveals cloaked enemies.
    • [Sight + Sight Trasher] – Breaks traps and reveals invisibility (requires Sight Gem).
    • [Spider Web] – From Evil Glove; immobilizes enemies.
    • [Close Confine] – From Gertie garment; locks enemies in place.
    • [HSS: Revitalize] – Extra healing (via HSS scroll).
    • [Provoke] – Situational. Reduces DEF (bad vs Thana), but can cancel E-call.

      • Playstyle

      • CHoose who you use devotion on: DONT DEVO everyone or you will just die, stay behind them if you devo soo you wont receive double sources of damage,
      • Dont devo those with high resist reflect type classes like sura using steelbody , thats gonna hurt you
      • If you see someone holding flag or stone you devo them, if you see someone trying to open up enemy base by using sight go devo him, if you have a teammate whos gonna fight an enemey you can devo them so that they can win that interaction.
      • Trap removal: Use Sight Trasher with INT investment; Evil Glove for Spider Web utility.
      • Pressure:I usually use pressure on whoever your team is attacking, you can also use it to remnove SP of priests

      Supplies Checklist

      • Undead Scroll (always use this)
      • Ghostring Scroll: always use this especially against genetic since your high vit will make Acid demo will still hurt you, this scroll will still protect you
      • Holy Scroll
      • Tao Gunka Scroll (if you have money to spend this is great for extra hp)
      • Cobwebs (if using Spider Web skill)
      • Fire Resistance Potions (vs Meteor Storm)
      • Yggdrasil Berries
      • Panacea
      • Flame of True Sight (Sight effect without switching accessories)

      PETS

    • Any Pet that provides 2% demi redux or anti sleep pet (if you dont have antisleep in your gear)
