EVENT DURATION: OCTOBER 9 2024 - NOVEMBER 10 2024
As the veil between worlds thins on the eve of Halloween, whispers of an ancient celebration fill the air. Legends speak of a grand masquerade held once every century, where mortals and spirits dance under the moonlit sky. Known only as the Phantom Feast, this mysterious event draws the brave and curious to a hidden realm, where the line between the living and the dead blurs.
At the heart of the celebration lies the Phantom Masquerade—a night of enchanting music, elaborate masks, and shadowy figures. But beware, for those who attend may find themselves swept into a game where not everything is as it seems. Will you dare to join the dance? Or will the phantoms claim you before dawn?
Similar to our traditional seasonal event, Phase 1 will focus on grinding. You can collect monster loot, join battlegrounds to level up your compendium, and more.
Notice: Due to earlier server lag issues, we haven't loaded the majority of NPCs for Phase 1. We'll monitor the situation today and update the NPCs by tomorrow.
★ DETECTIVE EQUIPMENT ★
You find Detective Shou in Caspen (caspen 174 214). He wholeheartedly welcomes to to the CRAPS, the Caspen Research and Paranormal Studies, which is a small group of paranormal detectives. He enlists your aid and gives you your own Mystery Detective Set (time-limited event item), and a Divine Weapon.
You can enter Hallow City by talking to Detective Shou, by talking to the Temporal Rift Beside him, or warping directly (@warp hallow_city).
In order to deal significant damage to the various monsters you find inside Hallow City, you will need to equip the Detective Set and Divine Weapon. You can further strengthen your Divine Weapon by talking to the Divine Upgrader (hallow_city 171 194). For each upgrading attempt, it will cost 50x Mystery Tokens. You can acquire Mystery Tokens by doing the various activities for this event. You can upgrade your Divine Weapon up to level 10. Once it reaches level 10, it will deal higher damage to the monsters.
The monsters drop a bunch of items. Loot and save these items for future phases.
★ COMPENDIUM: THE PHANTOM MASQUERADE ★
This Halloween, the Phantom Masquerade compendium has been added, with a total of 200 levels. The levels of of this compendium will be increased with each phase. As with the previous summer compendium, you will need to level up both facets through various in-game features. You can find the Phantom Masquerade Book in Hallow City (hallow_city 166 195).
PVE AND PVP FACETS
PVE Facet Compendium EXP Sources:
- Level up by killing monsters during Race. (TBA in race)
- Usual features that give compendium XP will now boost the PVE facet.
- Monsters have a low chance to drop 1k XP crystals.
- Daily quests (found inside compendium) also reward PVE facet EXP.
PVP Facet Compendium EXP Sources:
- Level up through battlegrounds.
- Winners of the 500 PVP automated events will receive PVP facet XP.
COMPENDIUM TREASURE BOXES
- You can claim these via your Compendium.
- You need Phantom Treasure Chest Keys to open 1 Compendium Treasure Box.
- When claiming Compendium Treasure Boxes, you can randomly either get a PVE Treasure Box, or a PVP Treasure Box.
- The maximum amount of Compendium Treasure Boxes that you can acquire from your Compendium is equal to the lowest level of both of your PVE and PVE Facet Levels. If your current PVE Facet Level is 5 and your current PVP Facet Level is 20, the maximum number of boxes that you can claim is 5. If your PVE Facet Level increases to 10 later on, you can acquire an additional 5 boxes.
- Take note that the rewards that can be acquired from each Compendium Box will depend on the levels indicated in its name. For example, for PVE Treasure Box 1-50, this means that when opening this box, you can only get a random reward from Level 1 to 50 of the PVE rewards. When you open a treasure box, the rewards you receive will be based on the number you roll. For example, if you roll a 50 out of 1-50 on a PVP treasure box, you’ll receive a trial artifact, which is the level 50 reward for the compendium’s PVP facet.
- Compendium Treasure Boxes are tradable. The Phantom Treasure Chest Keys are tradable as well. Thus, you can sell your boxes and/or to players if you don't have enough keys to open them.
- You can open as many Treasure Boxes that you want as long that you have keys.
PREMIUM COMPENDIUM REWARDS
Premium Rewards can be accessed via the Compendium. You can unlock it by paying either 2,500x 1B Zeny Bags or 150x Donation Tokens. Take note that the level of your premium rewards will depend on your PvE and PvP facet levels. The level will be the lower of either PvE or PvP facet. If you're thinking that you can't avail or participate in certain stuff if you happen to start in Phase 2 or beyond, worry not! This only means that with each new Phase, additional features and items will be implemented. For example, if you see that the title of the thread is already at Phase 3, you can still do and participate on the events that are indicated in Phase 1 and 2, as long as there's still ample time to do them, or the conditions for participation are still applicable. This also applies to any and all future seasonal events, unless otherwise specified.
