End of Summer Event 2024 - Phase 3

It's the end of summer, and we have a new event to celebrate!

Last year's summer event focused on PVP, but this time, we're catering to both PVP and PVE players. The summer compendium now has two facets: PVE and PVP.

Take note of the duration of this event. This event will run from August 4, 2024 until September 22, 2024.





You stumble upon the Holy One in Caspen (caspen 147 215). She's currently busy with a lot of paperwork. Just when she was about to enjoy her well earned summer vacation, she stumbled upon something very terrible on the beach. A dimensional rift opened near the shore, and now monsters from a winter realm and even undead pirates are now roaming around the beach.

You seek to aid her in her plight and rid the beach of those terrible monsters. To help you in vanquishing those monsters, she will give you some equipment: 1x Summer Paeonia, 1x Summer Blessing of the Holy One, 1x Summer Holy Carabao, and 1x Divine Weapon. Make sure to equip these items so that you will be able to effectively defeat the invading monsters! Take note that these equipment will last only 75 days.

To enter the monster-infested beach, you can enter via the Temporal Rift in Caspen (caspen 170 214), or directly warp to the map (cmd_fild02 287 147)

You can increase the efficiency of the weapon that the Holy One gave you. If you have accumulated enough Sun-kissed Tokens, you can avail of the Divine Upgrader's (cmd_fild02 280 157) service. For 50x Sun-kissed Tokens per attempt, she can increase the Equipment Level of your weapon, up to Level 10. It might be to your best interest to increase its Level to 10 soon to greatly increase your damage against the invading monsters.

The invading monsters drop a bunch of items. Loot and save these items for future phases.




PVE Facet Compendium EXP Sources:

• Level up by killing monsters during Race. (TBA in race)
  
• Usual features that give compendium XP will now boost the PVE facet.
  
• Monsters have a low chance to drop 1k XP crystals.
  
• Daily quests (found inside compendium) also reward PVE facet XP.
  

PVP Facet Compendium EXP Sources:

• Level up through battlegrounds.
  
• Winners of the 500 PVP automated events will receive PVP facet XP.
  
• Note: More ways to level up the PVP facet are being tested and will be implemented later.
  

Compendium Treasure Boxes

• You can claim these via your Compendium.
  
• You need End of Summer Keys to open 1 Compendium Treasure Box.
  
• When claiming Compendium Treasure Boxes, you can randomly either get a PVE Treasure Box, or a PVP Treasure Box.
  
• The maximum amount of Compendium Treasure Boxes that you can acquire from your Compendium is equal to the lowest level of both of your PVE and PVE Facet Levels. If your current PVE Facet Level is 5 and your current PVP Facet Level is 20, the maximum number of boxes that you can claim is 5. If your PVE Facet Level increases to 10 later on, you can acquire an additional 5 boxes.
  
• Take note that the rewards that can be acquired from each Compendium Box will depend on the levels indicated in its name. For example, for PVE Treasure Box 1-50, this means that when opening this box, you can only get a random reward from Level 1 to 50 of the PVE rewards. When you open a treasure box, the rewards you receive will be based on the number you roll. For example, if you roll a 50 out of 1-50 on a PVP treasure box, you’ll receive a trial artifact, which is the level 50 reward for the compendium’s PVP facet.
  
• Compendium Treasure Boxes are tradable. The End of Summer Keys are tradable as well. Thus, you can sell your boxes and/or to players if you don't have enough keys to open them.
  
• You can open as many Treasure Boxes that you want as long that you have keys.

Talk to the Summer Enjoyer inside Comodo Beach (cmd_fild02 292 148). He will bestow upon you the Compendium: End of Summer. Take all chances to earn PvE and/or PvE Compendium EXP to earn tons of rewards.

You can check the rewards available by opening your compendium book. Note that the rewards of PvE and PvP Facets are separate. The current maximum level of this book is 50, but over time, it will slowly increase, thus the potential of more rewards.

COMPENDIUM DAILY QUEST
You need to kill 200 of a specified monster to complete your Compendium Daily Quest. You can access this Quest by opening your Compendium Book and selecting thr Daily Quest option. Take note that this can be taken only once per day. Rewards include 5x End of Summmer Ticket, 250x PVE Facet Compendium EXP, and additional Zeny and items.

You can find the monsters around these areas. Note that these are only their spawn points. The monsters can still move around the map.

You can find the Attendance NPC in Comodo Beach (cmd_fild02 274 155). You can sign up for attendance ONCE per server day. This resets every 00:00 server time (check @time to see the current server time). This means no more waiting for 22 hours for each sign up attempt!




Gather your team and party up early! The Phase 1 raid boss is now live in the game. Defeat the boss for fantastic party rewards, including the Beach Treasure Key, which can be used to open the Comodo Beach Treasure Chest later. Start refining your keys now before the treasure chest is released. A new costume garment is also added as an MVP boss drop.

Notes:

• Every party member of the last hitter will receive a reward.
  
• The boss takes only 1 damage per hit, no matter how strong you are. Just hit the boss and survive.
  
• If you die when the boss dies, you won't receive any reward. Idle players won't receive any reward too.
  
• Dual clienting is illegal during the boss raid.
  
• Raid Times follow server time. Use @time in-game to check the server time.

The Gear Hunting NPC has arrived at Comodo Beach (cmd_fild02 298 155)! Through this NPC, you can select one headgear from a curated list, and then all mobs in cmd_fild02 will have a 0.01% chance to drop your chosen headgear. Note that drop rate boosters will not affect the drop rate of the chosen headgear, and you can only hunt for one headgear at a time. Use the command @gearhunt to check your current gear hunting status.

You can change your target headgear at any time. For instance, if you initially chose the Black Pirate Hat but later decide you want the Demi Freya Hair, simply return to the Gear Hunting NPC and select the new headgear.

Each headgear selection requires a small payment of Deepwater Seaweed. This fee is non-refundable, even if you do not obtain the headgear from hunting monsters.

The headgears available from the Gear Hunting NPC include classic Summer Headgears and a few Epic Headgears. The list may expand in future phases.




You can find the Seasonal Vanilla Enchanter in Caspen City (caspen 164 215).

• The first enchant for a Vanilla Headgear slot is free, except for Force Enchants.
  
• If your headgear already has an enchant on its slot, you will need to pay the necessary fees for enchanting.
  
• If a certain vanilla headgear can't be enchanted, and if it is a Summer Vanilla, kindly report it.
  

Every 3 hours, there will be a bunch of Watermelons that will spawn inside Comodo Beach. These melons also have the added chance to drop some items like Raffle Tickets, Paragon Tickets, Zeny Bags, etc. There will be two rounds of Watermelon Hunt race. Each round will last 30 minutes each. Be warned that there are Watermelon Bombs that, when killed, will send you outside of Comodo Beach. Use the command @seasonal or @summer to check your current points for each round. The top 5 players per round will win race points and some items. Take note that only the top 3 are announced globally.

• Round 1 - Kill as many Watermelons as you can and earn points. Each Watermelon has a different point, ranging from 1 to 5 points each. The point per Watermelon is indicated in its name.
  
• Round 2 - Almost the same as Round 1, except this time, the points, instead of being indicated in the names, are given at random.
  

Take note that the points given by the Watermelons in regards to the Watermelon Hunt Race is not the same as the seasonal points that you're getting. 

• The points for the race (the one used to determine the Top 5 for a race) will only last for the duration of the race and will be the ones to be used to determine the players' rank.
  
• Seasonal Points (acquired from simply killing race mobs) and Race Points (acquired from ranking in the Top 5 for each race) can be accumulated over time (e.g. your seasonal and race points will be carried over to the next seasonal event) and can be used to purchase items from the Seasonal Point Shop and Race Point Shop respectively.

PREMIUM FISHING FACET RELEASE
You can now unlock the Premium Fishing Facet in your End of Summer Compendium for 2.5T Zeny or 150 Donation Tokens (not Bravero Tokens).

Summer Fishing ID and other gears are not account bound. Most of the stuffs obtained in this Fishing Facet are not account bound.

Similar to the bonus treasure boxes, both the PVE and PVP facets of your compendium must be at the same level to receive the corresponding Fishing Facet reward.

Ancient Fossils obtained through fishing will soon be required to upgrade some of your fishing gear to their EX version.



FISHING GEAR ARTISAN
Using this NPC's service, you can upgrade the two new fishing rods (Prayer, and Bleeding Edge Series) up to their EX versions. Some selected fishing gear can also be upgraded using this service. This NPC will require various items, including those special rare Fossils that you can get from Level 100 Shoals, from the recent Event Shoals, as well as from the End of Summer Compendium. 

• Take note that these fishing gear may have Fishing Level requirements. If you accidentally crafted a Bleeding Edge Fishing Rod EX while you're still at Fishing Level 50, you won't be able to wear it since it has a Fishing Level requirement of 500.
  
• This NPC is a permanent addition and it will be transferred to Atlantis once the End of Summer Event ends.

PHASE 3 RELEASE UPDATES

BEACH TREASURE CHEST ADDED

• The chest will respawn 15 minutes after being opened by a player.
  
• You need a Beach Treasure Key to open it.
  
• Make sure to refine your treasure key, as the higher its refinement, the better your chances of obtaining great rewards.
  
• You must equip the treasure key in your right hand to open the chest.
  
• One of the best rewards you can obtain is a perfectly enchanted Overloaded AOT.
  
• Make sure to have a LOT of free space in your inventory when opening a treasure chest to avoid being unable to get reward due to having a full inventory.

The Event Finale will be held on September 22, 2024. This usually happens before or after the of War of Emperium scheduled for that day. The Event Finale will feature the release of rare headgears, as well as the Raffle NPC. Since this marks the end of the event, when the Event Finale begins, a bunch of stuff may be disabled which may include but not limited to the following:

• Event monsters inside will no longer drop items.
  
• Raid Bosses will be disabled
  
• Disable earning of Tokens and other event currencies/items from features.
  
• Other exact details will be unveiled once we reach this phase.
  

Additionally, starting September 23, 2024, some or all event NPCs will be removed or slowly be removed over time.

To any new player reading this: As you've noticed, the event is "separated" by Phases. If you're thinking that you can't avail or participate in certain stuff if you happen to start in Phase 2 or beyond, worry not! This only means that with each new Phase, additional features and items will be implemented. For example, if you see that the title of the thread is already at Phase 3, you can still do and participate on the events that are indicated in Phase 1 and 2, as long as there's still ample time to do them, or the conditions for participation are still applicable.
