In addition to the mining and forging system, we are here to introduce you into another similar grinding system.. The Fishing World. Inspired by one of the game I used to play, this system can aid players a little in grinding from time to time. 

Fishing World is similar to mining and forging system where you can level up and manage your skills but it's also different in some ways. If you are familiar with trial house fishing system, it's the same but with addition with gears and different baits! In fishing system there's a number of items that you can obtain and help you improve your fishing proficiency.

Fishing Coins:
- will be exchangeable for variety of stuffs, the exchange will be added in few days. 

Fishing Quest:

If you are interested to start fishing. You need to fishing your fishing quest first. Talk to the Fishing Master located at 174 214. And he will give you a slightly troublesome quest. 

This quest will reward you with some basic fishing gears that will test your patience. 


Stats, Equipments and the Basics

Basic Requirement

Fishing Rod - a basic requirement. You cannot start fishing without a fishing rod. Fishing World rods are shadow equipments. You need to equip them before you can start fishing. There are different types of fishing rod, all of them having different stats and rarity.

Baits - similar with fishing Rod, you cannot go fishing without baits. You can buy baits from fishing masters and each of these baits has different stats. A special bait like "lobster" can attract special fishes too. Those fishes can drop amazing loots. Baits are consumed on each fishing instance.

Attractants - unlike baits, attractants are optional. They also have special stats and some of them can attract "boss" fishes at around 20% chance , these boss fishes may drop special loots. , Attractants can be crafted on fishing master npcs. If equipped, it will be consumed.

Fishing Stats:

Fish Stamina: Each fish has 'random' stamina points. Like health points you need to bring it down as much as you can, preferably to 0 (zero). The percent of health points you reduced is equivalent to your chance of catching the fish. Meaning if you manage to reduce it to 50% then you have 50% chance to catch the fish. You must catch the fish immediately once its stamina reaches 0. If you don't catch it at 0, it will be eaten by other fish. 

 Raw Power: The maximum damage you can deal on fishes stamina each time you pump and reel in. 
 Line Str: The durability of your fishing line. Each time you reel-in your fishing line durability will be reduced. If you reel in after it goes to 0. It will break.
Lucky Catch: Chance to instantly catch a fish.
Attraction: ability to attract fishes. The higher your attraction, the higher your chance to attract higher rarity fish.
Cooldown Reduction: Reduce your waiting time before you can start fishing again. Default waiting time is 15 minutes. This can be reduced with gears and skills. 
 Rebait: chance for your fishing session to not consume a "bait".
 Retract: chance for your fishing session to not consume an "attractant".
 Refresh: chance to reset cooldown so you can start fishing again immediately.
 Loot Rate: increase your chance to obtain loots from fishes.
 Exp Explosion: chance to get extra 50% experience bonus.
 Fetch: chance to catch an extra fish instantly. (no bait consumed) 

Other Equipment:

Other than fishing Rod, we also have a lot of different gears that can be equipped and they also give stats. 

 Fishing License (ID) : Shadow Accessory. Though not required to be equipped. They also give stats. There are different fishing license, some of them are special while other are based on ranks. 

 Fishing Hat : Equipped as costume headgear. Can be crafted (not yet available). Mostly obtained from fishes, they also give different stats. 

 Fishing Vest: Equipped as shadow armor. Can be crafted (not yet available). Mostly obtained from fishes, they also give different stats that can be helpful in your fishing.


 Fishing Gloves: Equipped as another shadow accessory. They also give fishing stats. They are mostly obtained through fishing.

 Companions: Equipped as lower headgear costume. They give different fishing stats too. They are usually good on "fetching" fishes. 

Fishing Skills

There are 16 fishing skills available at the moment. They might increase in the future. Fishing skills can be leveled up using skill points, however, they have specific amount of skill points required to level up. For example. The fishing skill "Strong Hook" required 5 skill points per level, while the skill "Shark Eye" only need 1 point per level.

Each time you reach 1,000 exp points, you will gain 1 level and 3 skill points.

Note: SP = Required skill points per level.

• Strong Hook (SP:5) - Each level increases your 'raw power' by 1. (Max Lv. 25). 
  
• Mooch (SP: 3) - Each level increase your 'attraction' by 1. (Max Lv. 25)
  
• Angler's Luck (SP: 10) - Each level increases your 'lucky catch' by 1%. (Max Lv. 5)
  
• Shark Eye (SP: 1) - Each level reduces your cooldown time by 1 second. (Max Lv. 120)
  
• Whale Call (SP: 2) - Each level gives you 1% chance to obtain 10-30m zeny  when fishing. (Max Lv. 30)
  
• Double Hook (SP: 10) - Each level increases your 'fetch' stat by 1. Giving you 1% chance to catch an extra fish on each level. (Max Lv. 5)
  
• Baited Breath (SP: 5) - Each level increase your 'Rebait' stats by 1. Giving you 1% chance to avoid consuming a bait when fishing. (Max Lv. 10)
  
• Fish Eye (SP: 2) - Each level reduces pitching cast time by 1 sec. (Max Lv. 5)
  
• Angler's Patience (SP: 5) - Add 1% chance to prevent your fishing line from getting damaged  when reeling on each level. (Max Lv. 25)
  
• Exp Explosion: (SP: 10) - Add 1% chance to gain extra 50% exp when fishing. (Max Lv. 10)
  
• Treasure Diver (SP: 10) - Add 1% increase to your 'Loot' stat, increase your chance to get item loots from fishing. (Max Lv. 10)
  
• Smell Fishy (SP: 5) - Each level increases 'Retract' stat by 1. Add 1% chance to avoid consuming an 'attractant' when fishing. (Max Lv. 10)
  
• Refresh (SP: 10) - Each level increases your 'Refresh' stat. Giving you 1% chance to reset fishing cooldown. 
  
• Prize Catch (SP: 2) - Each level increases your chance to obtain extra fishing coins. (Max Lv. 50)
  
• Makeshift Bait (SP: 1) - Each level increases your chance to obtain random extra bait from fishing. (Max Lv. 25)
  
• Grand Line (SP: 15) - Each level increases your line str by 1. (Max Lv. 3)

Details:

• The duration of this fishing spot is 1 hour.
  
• This fishing spot has a fix cooldown of 1 minute.
  
• The stamina of fish here greatly depends on your fishing stats so anyone has a chance to catch and miss a fish depending on their luck.
  
• Exp is random 5-15 exp.
  
• The fishes here can drop really good stuffs, from zeny bag to random goodies. 
  
• No required bait. (will still use bait but you can use any bait)
  
• Special attractants cannot be used here.
  

Note: 
Last kick-off we giveaway a free Rising Phoenix  costume. If you have it, you can use it for fishing. It has a pretty good stats for fishing compared to other 'initial' companions.

The fishing event has gepard device cooldown to prevent players from abusing it by using multiple accounts. Any attempt to bypass dual-client restrictions such as using virtual machine, a second computer/device or any method will result to punishment under dual/multiple client npc abuse. 

FISHING COMMANDS

@fishingstats - display fishing stats.
@fishing - general command to manage your fishing stats, skills and set up.
@fishingskill - open fishing menu
@fishdrop < fish name > - search the drop of specific fish.
@whichfish < item id > - search which fish drop the item id.
