Variant Rares

Variant Rares are some of the most powerful, rare, and prestigious headgears available in BraveRO. They are equipped in the middle headgear slot. They have some of the most beautiful sprites available in the game and are sure to make you stand out from the rest. What makes this special is that, by just purchasing one item, you can get the benefits of a Melee and Magic rare headgear by simply switching these effects for a small fee.

Before, Variant Rares have a default 30% skill delay reduction and a second effect that you can choose (Increase Physical Damage against Demi-Humans by 25%, Increase Magical Damage against Demi-Humans by 25%, or +35 to all stats).

However, as of May 28, 2022, Variant Rares received a new update! They are now made similar to Vanilla Headgears wherein you can enchant them.

As of March 27, 2024, an NPC has been added inside the BraveRO Market that sells all currently available variant rares. From Ainz Ooal Gown Cape to Blue Devil Blade for 100B Zeny Currency, and from Hands of Avatar to Green Flame Giant for seasonal variant rares. This shop uses Donation Credits as currency.

List of Slot Enchants

All Variant Rares have been reset when this update was released to allow them to be enchanted.

• All variants will now have blank effects. They need to be enchanted at the Variant Enchanter NPC (previously known as the Variant Rare Seller NPC) located at caspen 114 162
• First time enchantment is free so you can enchant your freshly resetted variants for free
• Re-enchantment cost is 10 x 1b zeny bag. This fee will enchant the variant with 3 enchants as listed below.

Slot 2 Enchant

By default, all variants have a 30% After-Skill Delay enchant on the 2nd slot.

Slot 3 Enchant

You are given the option to choose which one of the enchants listed below you'd like to select for your 3rd Slot Enchant.

• 25% physical damage against demi-humans
• 25% magical damage against demi-humans
• 25% long range physical damage
• 25% physical damage against medium sized monsters
• 25% magical damage against medium sized monsters
• 25% physical & magical damage against small sized monsters
• 25% physical & magical damage against large sized monsters
• 25% physical & magical damage against Boss-type monsters
• All Stats + 35
• All Stats + 10% base stats
• 20% Delay Reduction
• Max HP + 15%
• Armor, Headgear & Weapon cannot be stripped

Slot 4 Enchant

The 4th slot enchant is assigned randomly. You cannot choose which one to receive, however you can re-enchant to try again by paying the fee.

• MaxHP + 2%
• Reduce damage from demi-humans by 1%
• 1% Chance to inflict Curse on the enemy when attacking
• 1% Chance to inflict Stone Curse on the enemy when attacking
• 1% Chance to Silence on the enemy when being attacked
• 1% chance to reflect single target magic back to the enermy
• Removes gemstone requirement for certain skills
• 2% After Skill Delay reduction
• 5% Additional movement speed

Where to purchase Variant Rares?

You can purchase Variant Rares via the Variant Rare Enchanter in caspen 114 162. They are available for purchase via Zeny, but first you must convert your 1B Zeny bags into 100B Zeny Chests. Once converted, you can open the Variant Rare Shop and purchase your desired rare from there. Do note that the 100B Zeny Chests cannot be converted back into 1B Zeny Bags.

Preview of Variant Rares

Although we provide a simple preview of these Variant Rares below, it is worth noting that the majority of these rares have standby/attack/walk/hit animations that are not shown on the previews below. If you would like to try these Variant Rares in-game, you can do so via our Fitting Room. You can access the fitting room through the Donation Girl NPC in Caspen. Once there, you can use the command @ii <item name> to obtain the item's ID and preview it in-game.

Please do note that while some of these are the variant rares currently obtainable from the Variant Enchanter NPC, several variant rares are being made available as donation-exclusives and as event rewards during seasonal events.

Note: The heavenly light visual effect is available for all variant rares. You can enable or disable this visual effect via the Variant Enchanter NPC.
